Cut Flower Snapdragron Potomac Seedling Pack
Antirrhinum majus
Cut Flower Snapdragon seedlings, grown in Marlborough by Gray Floral, shipping NZ wide.
Potomac Snapdragons are developed to produce strong, tall, florist-worthy stems from spring through summer! They enjoy bulking up over the cooler period of winter and will come away beautifully in spring. A classic cut and come again flower, pinching will encourage more stems. Growing them through winter/spring is often helpful in avoiding the summer rust.

NOTES ON GROWING
Height: 1m
Spacing: If growing as a 'one cut' or single stem first harvest you can plant as tight as 10cm, however if pinching give them 25cm
Harvest: When the first florets on the bottom of the stem are open - once the bees have pollinated then vase life is reduced, and the florets will continue to open in the vase. Snapdragons have a geotropic nature - which means they bend away from gravity so if laid flat or leaning sideways in a bucket they will twist to get their growing tip back towards the sky, so store upright in the bucket if using for arranging.
Vase life: 7 days
All our seedlings are grown in a custom cut flower mix which contains Trichoderma to assist in healthy root development and resistance to root pathogens. To give your seedlings the best start in your garden we recommend soaking them in a weak seaweed feed (or one of our "Seedling Shots") before planting.
We wrap our seedlings bareroot in newspaper to maintain moisture and ship economically, and pack them with utmost care. We do recommend if you're not ready to plant them immediately that you do pot them up until it's time for them to go in the garden. Everything apart from labels (which we hope you'll use in the garden and time and time again) and stickers are compostable, in an effort to keep our shipping sustainable for the envirnoment.
